Kristin Kenney was born March 19, 1994 in Fountain Valley and grew up all her life in the same house her parents had when she was born.  She became a part of WCA in May 2017.  She loves how this church is so welcoming, and its emphasis on teaching about holiness and being ready for the Lord’s Return.

When she was 9 years old in 2005, she attended a Kid’s Camp and asked Jesus into her heart.  At the same time, she was also Baptized with the Holy Spirit.

When she was 17 years old, she tried drinking.  But guilt helped her to stop.  She knew God was telling her to be holy.  God had put on her heart to read about the Christian martyrs who were willing to die for their faith; and then on our Lord’s Coming again.

She continued going to Cornerstone until 2016 when she felt God calling her to find another church.  The problem was that she let many things:  going to work, school, etc., keep her from attending any church during 2016.  And during this period, she even quit her job as a Cosmetologist because of the superficial nature of the job.  Instead she focused on care-giving.

In January 2017, at her cousins wedding, she met a young man who was to become her boyfriend.  He was a non-practicing Mormon.  He learned she had an interview to cut men’s hair, so he volunteered to be her model.  In March she got a job cutting men’s hair.  However, he became jealous and manipulative.  He accused her many times of being flirtatious, so she broke it off with him on March 23rd

That night he had gotten drunk, scared her with the threat of committing suicide, and so she tried to talk with him.  However, he had non-consensual sex with her.  And on April 22nd she found out that she was pregnant.  Because of her former boyfriend’s manipulative, emotional abuse she had considered getting an abortion, but her Mom was a voice of reason, and she is very happy she did not take that route.  And so are we!  So, on December 14, 2017, Noah Aden Kenney was born in Irvine.  Kristin and Noah have two very supportive families: her parents and her WCA family.

And, of course, there is more to her story…

WCA is blessed to have Kristin and Noah as a part of our family!  And so today, we are dedicating baby Noah to the Lord.
