IMG_0528_2About Me:

  • Place of Birth: Westminster, CA
  • Family Information: My parents, Mike & Monica, and younger sister, Makenzie.
  • How did I come to WCA? I was invited by friends to come to the College Group bible study in January 2008, became a believer shortly after, and I’ve been attending WCA ever since!
  •  What is my role at WCA? I’m the worship leader & could not be more blessed by this position! I became involved in the worship team in the summer of 2009 and knew a whopping total of 3 chords on the guitar and was scared to death of being put behind a microphone! But God has a sense of humor & plans greater than I could ever imagine. He placed me on a team of amazingly talented and inspirational people, each who use their gifts to praise our Father!
  • What is my favorite part of my role here? I love seeing how God uses music to grow us closer to Him and bring Him glory… there’s nothing like a room full of people singing praises to Jesus!
  • Who is my favorite Bible character, and how do I identify with him/her? Ruth’s story amazes me with her tenacity to remain by her mother-in-law’s side, despite not knowing her God or her customs. But her faith in “Naomi’s God” eventually leads her to believe in Him herself, and God blesses her with a husband and into the lineage of King David. Her faith and kindness is something I definitely admire.
  • Who are my favorite sports teams? I don’t necessarily have a favorite. Let’s be honest… I usually just root for the one everyone else likes!
  • Who is my favorite musical artist or group? Elevation Worship, Hillsong, Kari Jobe, Chris Tomlin, and anything country!
  •  What was I like in Junior High? I was quiet and kind. I loved being with my friends more than anything. Performing arts class was my favorite. And I was the first person in my class to get braces… I started the trend!
  • If I could only have one book to read (other than the Bible), what would it be, and why? Hmm, Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers is one I could read over and over again because it reminds me of God’s overflowing mercy & grace in my own life.
  •  If I could choose my last meal on earth, what would it be and why? A couple glazed donuts topped with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and whipped cream. Oh, and a side of rocky road ice cream!
  • What makes me laugh? I have some of the most hilarious friends and family. They are surely the source of most of my laughter.
  • What makes me cry? Nearly anything! I’m what they call “sensitive”. 🙂
