About Me:
- Place of Birth: Ridgecrest, CA
- Family Information: Wife: Kristen, Sons: David and Jonathan
- Pets: Cookie (Dog), Stelluna (tortoise)
- How did I come to WCA? When my parents became the pastors of WCA, I was in college and was wanting to get plugged into a church. It seemed natural to go where they were serving. Also, I met a very cute girl in the college group; she eventually became my wife.
- What is my role at WCA? Currently, I am serving as one of the associate pastors, as well as directing the Men’s Fellowship, Secure Foundation.
- What is my favorite part of my role here? I love being able to serve in a versatile capacity. I was at a church for several years in which I was the only pastor on staff. It’s great to be able to provide support to the pastor at WCA and to serve in any way I can.
- Who is my favorite Bible character, and how do I identify with him/her? David (also the name of our older son). He loved God with all his heart, he was a valiant warrior-poet, and he was a sinner who knew it—as am I.
- Who are my favorite sports teams? Any team but the Lakers or Cowboys. Sorry, I’m a hater.
- Who is my favorite musical artist or group? Keith Green, Shane and Shane, and the David Crowder Band.
- What was I like in Junior High? Dweeb-and-a-half.
- If I could only have one book to read (other than the Bible) , what would it be, and why? Just about any book by C.S. Lewis.
- If I could choose my last meal on earth, what would it be, and why? Sushi. Good way to go out.
- What makes me laugh? Some of the things my sons say when they’re not trying to be funny.
- What makes me cry? Thinking about the way I make God feel sometimes.
